I finally decided to enter I ♥ Faces weekly photo contest. This week the theme is "blue" and since Kade has these amazing blue eyes (that keep me from staying mad at him for long), I knew this was the perfect shot to enter.
Go on over to I ♥ Faces to check out more blue entries!
So, I'm taking another photography class, so I've been carrying my camera and reflector around everywhere trying to complete my assignments. The light was finally perfect last week while walking around the zoo, so I made my friend Kim be my impromptu subject. (It's a good thing she always looks this amazing, even while walking around the zoo). Then, we got a few photos of her baby boy. He was happy and slobbery, which made for some great shots!
While visiting my family in Utah, I was lucky enough to have a quick photo session with this little angel. She was 6 weeks old and past the tiny, squishy newborn phase, but we were still able to get some nice shots, especially after she fell asleep. Her big brother Mason wanted his picture taken in all the same poses as his new baby sister. He is so fun and a great big brother. Their mom, (who happens to be my cousin's wife) said she wasn't photo-ready, but some of my favorite pics are the ones with her and Brynn together. Let me know what you think!
This was my first newborn photo shoot, and I certainly learned a lot. Hopefully I'll get the chance soon to photograph another newborn so I can try to apply those things and keep getting better!
Here are some more fun pictures taken of my family the past month. I need some new subjects to photograph. So, if anyone in the Green Bay area is interested in helping me build my portfolio, send me an email and we can do a FREE photo shoot. I will give you a CD with the best photos from the shoot to do with as you please! This would be great for baby pictures, senior portraits, etc. This is a limited time offer so don't wait!
To get more practice, I asked my friend if I could do a photo shoot with her adorable little girl, Lily. She is about 6 weeks older than my boys, so I was expecting it to be as difficult to get a picture of her as it is to get one of my boys. Boy was I wrong. She would pose, smile, and had some serious model faces too. She even showed me some of her ballerina moves! The lighting wasn't that great, so I'm going to have to try again with her another day, but here are some of the best photos I got.
And this is her mom-my friend Greta. Isn't she gorgeous? I know. This picture makes me want a little girl so bad!
Last weekend we went to visit my husband's brother and his family in Madison. I had a great time playing photographer and I'm happy that I was able to get some nice shots of my family.
I'm currently not booking any sessions. Instead, I am playing with (or more likely, cleaning up after) my three sons. Hopefully I will pick up this hobby again in the future, but for now, enjoy these past photo sessions!
These can be newborn photos, senior pictures, engagement pictures, children, or small families. The fee is $75 per session (for up to four people) and includes approx. 1 hour photo session, and a CD with 20-25 edited, high resolution photos for you to print, email, and share any way you'd like. Email me today to book your session!
